The unsubscribe page your recipients see
Branded as you, and deliberately easy to complete.
Clicking unsubscribe takes someone to a page hosted by us but branded as you. There’s a good reason for that, and it isn’t aesthetics.
What they see
Your name — the sender name from the email they received, which is what they’ll recognise — and a button to confirm. One click and they’re out, across your entire account.
It’s a button rather than an automatic opt-out on landing, because some mail clients and security scanners follow links in emails on their own. An automatic version would unsubscribe people who never touched it.
Why it's branded as you
An unfamiliar page produces spam reports
Someone who clicks unsubscribe in mail from your business and lands on a brand they don’t recognise has been taught to be suspicious of exactly that. Their fallback is the spam button — which converts the cheapest event in email into the most expensive one.
So the page names you, and we appear only as a small line underneath.
Your logo needs a verified domain
Upload a logo in your settings and it appears on the page — provided you’ve verified your own domain.
The reason: this is an unauthenticated page on our domain, so tenant-controlled imagery on it is an impersonation surface, and a logo is far more convincing than a name. Proving control of a real domain is what separates “your brand” from “any brand”.
Without a verified domain you still get your name in text, which is most of the recognition benefit — and is already in the From line of the email they just received.
The mailbox's own unsubscribe
Gmail and others show their own unsubscribe control next to the sender name. That’s supported, and someone using it never sees this page at all — they’re opted out here just the same.
It’s a good thing: the easier it is, the fewer people reach for the spam button instead.
Common issues
My logo isn't showing
Verify your own domain. Until then the page shows your name in text.
Someone says the link didn't work
Each link is personal to that recipient and that campaign, so a forwarded email carries the original recipient’s link. Ask them which email they clicked from.
Can I add a “change preferences” option?
Not yet — it’s a single opt-out. If you send several kinds of mail, separate lists with their own signup forms is the way to give people a choice today.
FAQs
Can I customise the page's wording?+
Not currently. It’s deliberately plain and quick to complete, which is what keeps complaints down.
Does unsubscribing remove them from lists?+
They stay on their lists but are never mailed. Keeping the record is what stops a future import quietly re-adding them.
